2. Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to submit to us, through forms such as:

• the Contact / Enquiry form (name, email address, message);
• the Membership Application, Verification and Check Status forms (name, contact details, proposer/seconder details, and other information the form requests);
• the Suggestions form (name and suggestion text); and
• Members Area account fields such as profile details, once a real member login is connected.

We do not use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers on this site. The only browser storage currently in use is localStorage, used solely to keep the demonstration Member/Admin login session active in your browser — it is never transmitted to us and is cleared when you log out or clear your browser data.

3. How we use information

Information submitted through forms would be used only to respond to your enquiry, process a membership application, or administer your membership. At present, the forms on this demonstration site are not connected to a live backend — submissions are not stored or transmitted anywhere. This will change once the Club connects a real submission and member-management system, at which point this policy will be updated to reflect exactly what is stored and for how long.

4. Sharing of information

We do not sell member or visitor information. Information is only shared with third parties where strictly necessary to operate the Club (for example, a future payment processor for dues, or a hosting/email provider), and only once such a service is actually in use — this policy will list each one by name at that point.

5. Data retention and security

We aim to retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected for. Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect information in transit (this site is served over HTTPS) and at rest once a real data store is connected.

6. Your rights

You may ask us what information we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion, by writing to info@waltairclub.com or by post to the address above.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as real backend services are connected to this site. The “Last updated” date above will always reflect the latest revision.
